Earl W. Winger
Earl Winger, 89, formerly of 1032 Geele Ave., a resident of Sheboygan Progressive Care Center for the past 13 years, died there on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 Born October 18, 1918, in Cudahy, WI. Earl was a son of the late Karl and Alma Zautcke Winger. When he was 9 months old his father died and Earl was raised by his grandparents on their farm in West Bend. Earl attended Cedarburg Grade School. Earl served his country in the U.S. Army. On May 16, 1953, he was united in marriage Adele Kleist at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. The couple was married for 40 years before Adele preceded him in death on January 8, 1994. Mr. Winger was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Earl was employed by the Hayssen Company until his retirement in 1974. He was previously employed by the Kohler Company and the Milwaukee Electric Company. He is survived by his son Carl (Sue) Winger, LeRoy, IL; his daughter Betty Winger, Waukesha, WI; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Paul) Buehler and their sons, David Earl Sabrowsky and Tyler Paul Buehler, of Sheboygan, Paul (Tamika) Winger and their daughter Kya Louise Winger of Watertown, WI and Jennifer Winger, Fort Gordon, GA, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Friday April 18, 2008, at the Lippert-Olson Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar, Pastor of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name for St. Paul Lutheran Church.
