James B. Lubbers

 

James B. Lubbers, 58, of 2408 N. 7th Street, passed away Wednesday evening, March 26, 2008 at his home.

Born December 6, 1949, at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, James was a son of the late Louis and Ardelle Hesslink Lubbers. He attended Oostburg grade schools and graduated from Oostburg High School in 1968. He then went on to earn a History Degree from the U.W. Oshkosh. On October 14, 1982, he was united in marriage to Ann Therese Batzner in Boulder, CO.

Jim was a landscaper, working for Windway Capitol Corp. He also worked at Superior Lawn and Garden for many years. He was also a counselor at Willow Glenn Academy in Plymouth. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. What gave him joy was spending time with his family and his dog, Louie.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; his son, Logan; brothers, John Lubbers and his special granddaughter, Vivian, Henderson, NV, and Joel (Lulu) Lubbers, Sheboygan, and their family, Ryan, Robert, Ben and Rachel (fiance' Eric Wood); sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Jane (Philip) Goebel, Broomfield, CO, and their family, Timothy and Matthew Goebel, David (Cathy) Batzner, Sheboygan, and their family David III, and Sarah, Mary (Bruce) Rosenthal, Sheboygan, and her family, Adam and Andrew Nelson and Aaron and Carter Rosenthal, Margaret (Robert) Howe, Sheboygan, and their family, Abigail and Alex Howe, and Martha (Nicholas) Hangiandreou, Rochester, MN; other relatives, neighbors, coworkers and friends.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Noon, on Monday, March 31, 2008 at Our Lady of Grace Episcopal Church, 7th at Ontario Avenue. The Rev. Rex D. Perry will celebrate the Mass. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
