Conrad Bauer

Conrad Bauer, age 91, of 2846 Rammer Ct. died May 16 at home with his family by his side.

Conrad was born December 18, 1918 in Sheboygan to the late Conrad and Sophie (Bauer) Bauer. 

He attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Central High class of 1937. 

During WWII he served in the army as a technical sergeant in the service company of the 128th infantry,  32nd division, in New Guinea and the Philippines.

Over the years following his return from the service he worked for several different employers, including Madewell Chair Co., Midwest Furniture Co.,  Neff Animal Hospital, the Sheboygan Greenhouse, and R.A. Manning Co.

On  November 22, 1956 he and Marie Peters were united in marriage.  Marie preceded him in death on July 17, 1998

He enjoyed gardening and tending his fruit trees, playing the organ, mandolin, and accordion, and was an avid reader and Bible student.

Conrad was a faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist church and served in many positions over the last 50 years. 

He is survived by his daughter Carol (Carroll) Wheeler of Sheboygan and three grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, and Jennifer.  He is further survived by his brother, Harold (Beverly) Bauer, of Sheboygan.   Other survivors include five sisters-in-law , Patsy Bauer of Sheboygan, Helen Danci of Sheboygan,  Rose (Don) DuBois of Los Alamos, NM, Hazel Peters of Calistoga, CA, and Bruni Peters of Oakhurst, CA;  two brothers-in-law, John Peters of Tucson, AZ,  Anthony (Janet) Peters of Tujunga, CA, and many nieces and nephews.    

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marie, his sister, Emilie Liezen, brothers Christ, Richard, Arthur,  Elmer and other sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law

A Memorial service will be held at the Sheboygan Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3910 Erie Ave., on Sunday, May 23, at 6:00 p.m.  Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery.
